Sharp ShotGraphics: 4

Replay Value: 1
Notes: 1- or 2-player game; what a crappy game!
Screen Shots

The most mindless game ever made for Intellivision has to be Sharp Shot. Even Kool‑Aid Man at least has some goal more than pressing the fire button. What a waste of a game. Visually, it's pleasing–the shaped, brown football is nice. Most of the sprites are swiped from other, good Intellivision games. That doesn't save this game. It's lame. Still, I'll post my lame scores for this lame game, in the 10 minutes I spent playing it just to generate some scores. Best Scores: Football Passing: 70; Space Gunner: 60; Submarine: 31; Maze Shoot: 29

Sharp Shot Manual (Mattel Electronics 5638-0720) Mattel Electronics 5638-0720 1982 Hong Kong French-Canadian; (it's still shrink-wrapped to the outside of a box, so possibly it's French only?)

Sharp Shot Manual (Mattel Electronics PC-5638-0920) Mattel Electronics PC-5638-0920 1982 U.S.A. PlayCable version; I can't believe they actually put this one on PlayCable!
Sharp Shot Manual (Intellivision Inc. 5638-0920-G1) Intellivision Inc. 5638-0920-G1 None U.S.A. Accordion-style folding; have not yet located Mattel revision with the same part number for this manual

The first difference between the two revisions (not pictured) is that the 'Object of the Games' page was moved from the back of the manual to the front in rev. G1.

Secondly, the screen shot for the Football Passing game was revised. Looks like the QB in the first printing had some trouble reading which players were receivers and which were cover folks.

Football Passing (original)

The Ty Detmer read (7 interceptions! OUCH!)

Football Passing (original)

The Brett Favre read (THAT's my guy!)

The third change I've noticed is that some graphics were missing on the Submarine shoot game.

Submarine (original)

Uh, what torpedoes?

Intellivision, Inc. (rev. G1)

Oh, THOSE torpedoes!
